Entering the Uyuni Salar - 08-08-2010

Uyuni Salar: with its 12,000 km ², is the largest salt desert in the world. It is located 3,650 meters up in Bolivia's Altiplano, in the Cordillera de los Andes.

"where's your jeep"? Locals were really surprised on our luxury vehicles to cross the Salar...



The Uyuni Salar contains 10 billion tons of salt, of which 25,000 tons are extracted every year.
